boys golf · Zack Neff wins 5A state medalist honors. BACK TO BACK!!!

Zack neff stepped up his game on the second day again this state tournament.  Just like he did last year to bring home the individual title.  Zack shot 72 the first day, trailing his teammate and friend John Fox by 4 shots.  Johnny shot an impressive 68 on day one.

The State tournament was held at Glen Eagle golf course in Syracuse.  On day two, Zack got it going early on hole 3 with an eagle.  Then on 17 knowing he needed to go for it.  He pulled out his driver and went for it on the shot 4 par, almost driving the green.  Then chipping in for his second eagle of the day, to go to 5 under for the day.  With a par on 18, Zack finished with a 67, to beat out Tyson Shelley from Skyline and Robinson from Viewmont.  John Fox was right in the mix till double bogeys on 16 and 17 led him to a final round 75,  4 shots behind Zack.

As for the Titan team, they finished 3rd  with a 2 day score of 291,  behind Skyline 569  and Viewmont  588.  Great year for the Titans.
