Boys Varsity Football · Titans Take Care of Defending State Champs

This past Friday, Olympus defeated reigning 5A state champion Lehi, 28-7.  Lehi opted to receive the ball and put together a decent drive before stalling out on 4th down.  The following play, senior Tommy Poulton ran 59 yards down the sideline for a touchdown.  Olympus never looked back.  Poulton scored another touchdown from a yard out.  Noah Bennee brought in a 45 yard Jackson Frank pass for a touchdown.  Scotty Edwards rounded out the Titan scoring with a 5 yard run.  Jack Hollberg had an impressive night, rushing for 115 yards on 13 carries.  The Titans rushed for over 300 yards on the night.

Defensively, Hollberg had an impressive interception to stop a Lehi drive on the 1 yard line, which helped produce a 99 yard touchdown drive for the Titans.  Bennee also added an interception.  Isaac Wilcox recorded 11 tackles for the Titans.

Olympus travels to Highland this Friday for a key region match-up.
